Dear Upper School families,
Welcome back to our final quarter of the 24/25 school year! In my experience, this is the time of year that just flies by between Field Day, Field Trips, and that final push in classes! I am so excited to spend spring with these students. Here is what you need to know as we begin 4th quarter.
Happening this week:
- The AIMS visiting team is here! We have been working on our school accreditation for a year now, and the final pieces will be put into place this week as faculty and administration from other AIMS schools visit to help us visualize our next steps as a school.
- 3rd quarter Report cards will be available in FACTS the afternoon of Friday, April 4. This is a progress report, which means that the gradebook stays open and students still have an opportunity to make adjustments as needed before the end of the semester.
Upcoming:
- April 8: 10th grade Chesapeake Bay Foundation field trip to Philip Merrill Environmental Center in Annapolis.
- April 14, assembly with Dr. Venera Miller
- April 18 and 21, NO school. Enjoy the long weekend!
- April 22, Earth Day! Calverton students will be doing projects around campus and in the community to celebrate, rejuvenate, and appreciate the Earth!
- April 26, The Calverton Auction: Derby Days!
- May 22: 9th grade field trip to Jug Bay!
- May 27 – 29th – 11th grade Chesapeake Bay Foundation overnight field trip to Port Isobel Island.
- May 30th – Calverton Field Day
- May 31st – Junior/Senior Prom
Spring Break 2026:
- Our very own Frauke Bowen is organizing a trip of a lifetime to Egypt for Spring Break 2026. Please see this link for more information. https://acis.com/tripsite-trip-overview/?key=MjAyNnw2NDUxMA
- ACT SOON! There is an early bird discount on this trip that has been extended to April 2! If you have been considering this trip, now is a great time to commit!

This is truly a busy time with so much to enjoy. This is also great time to check in with teachers and advisors to make sure that you/your student are on track to finish out the school year strong. As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Angela Popernack
