Job Title: Campus Facilities Assistant Division: Facilities Reports to: Facilities & Transportation Manager Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM Campus Facilities Assistant - Part-Time
Reporting to the Facilities and Transportation Manager, The Calverton School in Huntingtown, Maryland is seeking a part-time Campus Facilities Assistant. This position is responsible for facilities, grounds, custodial, maintenance and other assigned tasks on a daily/hourly basis, depending on the need of the facility. Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
•Directs traffic during school events
•Directs traffic during student arrival and departure
•Set up and break down the tables, chairs, and stage for school events.
•Restocks copier paper/water cooler bottles
•Weed and maintain flowerbeds.
•Mark athletic fields for games.
•Periodic maintenance of nature trails.
•Snow removal on campus walkways
•Pick up and deliver packages from various departments
•Performs custodial tasks including:
•Disinfecting commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
•Maintaining cleaning inventory
•Empty trash and recycling bins
•Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
•Clean and maintain restrooms
•Wash and clean windows and mirrors
•Dust furniture and fixtures
•Clean spills and body fluid when necessary
Secondary Functions:
Assists with various tasks during the daily operations of the school, (but is not restricted to):
•Paint structures, and repairs woodwork with carpenters tools
•Moves furniture and boxed material to and from storage and classrooms
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma
•Must pass Federal and State background check along with MSDE Employment History Review
