Cougar Cubs Early Childhood Education Program

 
Cougar Cubs Summer Adventures offer age-appropriate, enrichment filled camps for children ages 3.5-5.  Join our excellent instructors for weeks of learning, fun, and games! Select either as a morning camp (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM) or an all day camp (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
 
Camp is designed as a two week camp, but it can be taken separately for added flexibility. Lots of fun activities are planned to make those hot summer days enjoyable! If attending camp all day, your brown-bag lunch is eaten between 12 - 12:30 PM and is supervised by instructors.  Sign-up for the weeks/themes you want! Limited seating is available per week/theme.  Due to our camp license with the State of Maryland, all campers must be 6 months past their 3rd birthday or more, and also be potty trained.
 
 

 

 

Week 1 & 2 
June 17 - June 28

Creative Cougars Art Camp

Put your apron on and get ready to embark on an artistic adventure. Campers will use different medias to create whimsical artwork. What happens when we paint with our feet? What about coloring with shaving cream and yarn? What kind of artwork can we make using items found in nature! Be prepared to have all these questions answered and more!

Week 1 Cost: $200.00 - Half Day / $320.00 - Full Day
Week 2 Cost: $250.00 - Half Day/ $400.00 - Full Day

Week 3 & 4 
July 1 - July 12

Science Mayhem

Students will explore different types of scientists around the world. We will become geologists and discuss different types of rocks and crystals.  We will transform into paleontologists and explore fossils and dino bones.  We will become zoologists and learn about different animals and their habitats.  We will become engineers and build bridges out of marshmallows and catapults from spoons.  To top it off, we will become oceanographers and include lots of water play while discussing animals that we find in the oceans!

Week 3 Cost: $200.00 - Half Day/ $320.00 - Full Day
Week 4 Cost: $250.00 - Half Day / $400.00 - Full Day

Space Odyssey

Did you know the anniversary of the moon landing takes place in July?! What better time to get lost in space! From aliens invading our camp, to star gazing the galaxy, this camp is sure to meet everyone’s interests. We will spend time exploring outer space by making planet window decorations, alien spaceships, and even trying astronaut ice cream!

July 29 - August 9

Under the Sea

Calling all Pirates and Mermaids: get your wet suits on and be ready to make a splash into summer with our “under the sea” summer camp. We are happy to welcome campers to dive down deep under the sea! Campers will be captivated as they create aquatic works of art utilizing a multitude of mediums (paint, shaving cream, water, etc.).   They will put their dramatic and gross motor skills to the test as they swim like baby sharks and learn new fish themed games.
