Parent Contact Week - This week, your child's advisor will reach out to touch base on the beginning of the year and to listen to any questions, comments, or concerns that may have come up over the past 4 weeks. The Advisor's role is to be a single person that you and your child can reach out to when they need help with classes, organization, or even information on what's coming up.

SGA Notes - Class representatives have been elected, and students are hard at work planning Homecoming festivities and Spirit Week. Class representatives have been creating class shirts and students should be receiving information on how to order. Please note the Homecoming Dance is October 19!

National Denim Day - is happening October 4th! Students are invited to wear jeans with their Calverton Spirit wear shirt!

Student Ambassadors - At assembly last week, Beth Lennon and Alissa Lambert spoke with students about what it means to be a Calverton Student Ambassador. I encourage you to speak with your student if they are interested in this opportunity. Our first big opportunity is Open House on October 5!

Student Stand Outs, Inquirer - This month in advisory, students have been looking at the IB Learner trait of being an inquirer. They have started the year out strong by being curious and asking good questions to gain knowledge! Two students from each grade will be selected as our Inquirers of the Month, and all students have the option to fill out a nomination form this week for another student or themselves. Using these forms, faculty and staff will select the students that best represent this month's trait.
