Middle School News

Picture Day:

Picture day will be held Tuesday, September 17. Students are required to wear dress uniform for their fall picture. Please check out this link for questions on what this entails. Jostens will email you once photos are ready to purchase and you will have until the end of the school year to purchase your photos. No money or order forms are needed on picture day.

Student Government Association (SGA):

Last week students that are interested in SGA met with their advisory, Mrs. Tayman, and received their application to join. Students also have the option to run for the SGA Executive Committee (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer). Elections will take place 9/23.

Upcoming:

• MathCounts will be starting tomorrow, 9/8, for interested students. This is a competition math team that will go to the regional competition in February, and then individuals that qualify will head to the state competition in March. Students are welcome to attend even if they do not compete.
• Keep an eye out for information on our Calverton Robotics Club led by Upper School Physics and Design Technology teacher, Ms. Chapin.
• If you have a student interested in being on our yearbook team, please reach out! Our new Head of School, Adrienne Forgette will be leading this group to help us remember this amazing year!
• Middle School Buddies have begun. Each year, the middle school partners with the lower school for one morning each month of connection through an activity.
