Biography

BIOGRAPHY
Lesley Quattlebaum is a results-oriented professional with more than 20 years' experience leading complex projects to meet strategic objectives. Her passions drive results to meet the organizational mission, goals, and strategic objectives through research, development, and administration. Professionally, she has public and private sector experience in project and program management, working effectively with diverse stakeholders and managing multiple competing priorities to meet strategic goals and objectives.

Currently, she is Executive Director of the College of Southern Maryland Velocity Center at Indian Head (MD). An innovation and collaboration facility for the community at large to come together with military and academia to create solutions and drive innovation through multifaceted events and programs and a space for multigenerational learning with a focus on STEAM programming. Other positions have included Grants Specialist, helping the institution secure millions of dollars to support the mission and goals of CSM and Project Manager for a federally funded statewide grant initiative designed to foster the economic growth and competitiveness. Lesley has served on a number of teams and councils, such as the College Assessment Team, Collegewide Planning Council, Collegewide Innovation Work Group, whose mission is to ignite and grow innovation through education, research, and collaboration across the institution.

Lesley holds a BS in Business from the University of Maryland, is a life member alumnus, and holds a MA from Bowie State University. Additionally, she is a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute. She is President of the Southern Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She is also membership chair of the Charles County Area Unit of Parliamentarians and a member of the Policies and Procedures Committee of Seeds of Courage, a nonprofit organization that serves survivors of domestic abuse. Lesley is the proud parent of one son (Class of 2026) lives in Charles County (MD) and is a devoted and active mother to her son Quincy.
