BIOGRAPHY
Mick currently resides in Southern Anne Arundel county and has eight children with his wife Andrea. (7 of his children either graduated or are attending Calverton!) He has had a passion for boating and the marine industry his entire life. He also shares a love for the mountains and the beach. He enjoys cross country running and spending time with his children and their sports activities. He has lived and worked in Anne Arundel County for his entire life and have worked in the Marine industry, specifically for Burr Yacht Sales, Inc. since September 1985. Mr. Arthur Burr, a very well-respected Naval Architect, Marine Engineer and his mentor hired him to clean boats, which launched Mick’s career with his company. He attended and worked his first Annapolis Powerboat Boat Show the following year in 1986 and have worked every show since then. He has had the privilege to travel the world and work on boats in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and all over the United States and the Caribbean. His duties throughout his early years at Burr Yacht Sales included working as a service technician outfitting new Bertram Yachts and later Fleming Yachts, marine engine mechanic, fiberglass and varnish work. In 1992 Mr. Burr semi-retired and handed the business end of the company responsibilities over to Mick For the next 15 years with his guidance Mick ran the administrative aspect of the company as well as sales of new and used Fleming Yachts. He was also responsible, and continue to this day, for all the new boat construction projects, which average 7-10 per year. Upon Mr. Burrs full retirement in 2008, he assumed ownership of the company along with two other long-term employees. To this day they proudly carry on Mr. Burr’s legacy in the marine industry. They have expanded their company into the largest dealership for Fleming Yachts in the world.
